STOCK MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
The key benchmark indices hovered in the positive zone throughout the trading session, amid mxied cues from the global markets. The S&P BSE Sensex touched a high of 61,781 in opening deals, and eventually ended 92 points higher at 61,511.
The NSE shut shop with a gain of 23 points at 18,267.
Among the Sensex 30 shares, SBI, Bajaj Finance and Dr.Reddy’s finished with gains of over a per cent each. On the flip side, PowerGrid Corporation was down over a per cent.
That apart, in the Nifty 50, Adani Enterprises declined over 3 per cent after the company said its board shall meet on November 25, to consider capital raising options. READ MORE
In the broader markets, the BSE Smallcap index marginally outperformed in trades on Wednesday, the index ended 0.5 per cent higher, while the BSE Midcap index advanced 0.2 per cent.
The market breadth was marginally positive, with more than 1,850 stocks advancing versus 1,645 declining stocks on the BSE.
New listing
Shares of Inox Green Energy Services made a dismal debut today, after listing at Rs 60 apiece, the stock finally ended at Rs 59.25 – a near 9 per cent discount compared to its issue price of Rs 65 per share on the NSE.
